University of Vermont
The University of Vermont Medical Center offers a six-year General Surgery Residency Program that includes five clinical years and one surgical research year. Clinical rotations are designed to provide experience in preoperative, operative and postoperative care for patients in all general surgery areas. UVM faculty provide general surgical residents with substantial surgical and research experience in an atmosphere of collegiality. Research experience exists in basic and clinical science, as well as in global health and surgical education.

Albany Medical College – Albany Med Health System
Albany Medical Center is northeastern New York’s only academic medical center and one of the largest private employers in the Capital Region. It incorporates a 766-bed hospital, which offers the widest range of medical and surgical services in the region and Albany Medical College, which trains the next generation of doctors, scientists, and other health care professionals. Carilion Clinic – Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Department of Surgery
Carilion Clinic-Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (CC-VTCSOM) Department of Surgery is comprised of 103 faculty members with residencies in surgery and plastic surgery and fellowships in Surgical Critical Care and Advanced GI/MIS/Bariatrics. Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Surgery
The MCW Department of Surgery is a distinguished leader and innovator in the education and development of the next generation of surgeons. The Department has a number of disease-specific clinical programs, regional affiliations with hospitals ranked in the top 10 nationally and practice locations outside of the metro Milwaukee area. UNC-Chapel Hill opened to students in February 1795 making it the first public institution of higher education in North Carolina.
